WHAT HAPPENS AFTER AN ACCIDENT?
Frequently I get phone calls from potential clients who have either been (1) injured in a car accident or (2) charged with being at fault in a car accident. Sometimes the caller has experienced a mixture of the two. If you are injured in a car accident as a result of someone else's negligence, then you have a claim for damages against the other driver. In these cases, I would pursue a claim for both "economic" and "non-economic" damages (medical bills, pain and suffering, lost wages, property damage, etc.) against the at fault party. If you have been issued a ticket as a result of an accident, the officer most likely has accused you of causing the accident and you will be given a court date. In these situations I will most likely either (1) postpone the court date or (2) appear on the client's behalf.
Getting hurt in an accident is a traumatic experience. Getting charged with a crime as a result of an accident can be likewise. I represent clients who have been injured in car accidents in claims for damages against other drivers and I also represent clients ticketed and charged as being at fault in accidents. If you have been injured in an accident or charged with causing an accident, my office can assist you (843) 761-0610 or through the contact page on this website.
