I have served as “personal counsel” to people who need help navigating a complex legal issues that may involve a variety of subject matters. For example, I have served as personal counsel in litigation where someone died accidentally and blame was cast in the wrong direction. More often I am retained in this capacity when someone has been accused of a crime or other misconduct and we have to affirmatively prove their innocence to avoid arrest or other legal consequences. I also represent people who have done something wrong and are seeking to avoid or mitigate the consequences.
